192.168.0.1 is set by the manufacturer at the factory as the router’s default IP address to access the administration console (such as D-Link, Netgear models), you can change it at any time using the network router’s administrative console. 192.168.0.1 IP address is the first place you go if you experience any networking problems. All manufacturers use one default username and password for their routers, so 192.168.0.1 admin is recommended to change the password once you set up your network.
